Salaries will vary by establishment and region. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) stats show that fulltime gaming managers were paid a median annual amount of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest ten % earned less than $26,630, and the highest 10 percent earned around $96,610.

Gaming supervisors monitor gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they make sure that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating regulations for clients. Supervisors will also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have obvious leadership qualities and A1 communication skills. They need these skills both to supervise employees adequately and to greet gamblers in order to establish return visits. Quite a few casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, most supervisors gain expertise in other gambling occupations before moving into supervisory desks because knowledge of games and casino operations is important for these workers.
